Primary Purpose:

Create highly compelling content that will help attract additional traffic to the multiple Transparent.ly owned and operated website properties. Engage and educate visitors, while communicating and building upon Transparent.ly’s core value proposition: guiding consumers to compare and make the best decisions for their needs. Transparent.ly is a real-time clicks bidding platform that allows advertisers to precisely bid for consumers with our ad technology. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create well-written and insightful articles and website content
  • Conduct consumer research, surveys and be willing to pick up the phone and interview industry experts
  • Be capable of learning new industries and becoming an expert on them quickly
  • Think strategically about which content will set us apart from competition in a way that consumers appreciate and value
  • Exhibit knowledge on/learn about SEO and organic social media, and how to apply best practices to our written content
  • Create content and articles by conducting surveys, evaluating companies, generating reviews, and building upon existing ratings system
  • Write advertorials, help construct infographs, and post on and build social media pages
  • Identify new opportunities and enhancing existing content by analyzing the competition and researching consumer trends

  • Bachelor Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
  • Must perform well in high-energy, dynamic and team-oriented environments
  • Skilled in writing engaging and succinct content that can be understood and appreciated by a larger audience
  • Exceptionally driven to excel and make contributions
  • Must be a go getter who enjoys figuring things out on their own but can work in a team
  • Ability to work under time pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Comfortable manipulating data in excel and analyzing results
  • Understand or willing to learn the fundamentals of SEO and organic social media
  • Ability to quickly become an expert in a given subject matter and vertical of focus, all while balancing the needs of stakeholders (company, clients, and users)
  • Have a passion for communicating factual information, a certain amount of a marketing mindsight, and the ability to identify and translate the benefits of relatively complex products and services in an easy-to-understand and engaging way
  • Detail-orientated, having a focus on quality, and the capability to balance multiple competing projects at the same time

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor Degree in English, Communications, Marketing or Journalism from a Top 25 school with a 3.5 or better GPA
  • Knowledgeable of online marketing / web content development, particularly search engine optimization and organic social media.
  • Experience in or knowledge of the insurance, higher education, or mortgage industries.
  • Possess the ability or a willingness to learn how to optimize content for search engines and social media
  • Experience with or a willingness to learn online community management, overseeing video asset vendors, and public relations
