Job Description

Primary Purpose:

Utilize highly-technical skillset to provide pre-sales and implementation support for the sales organization by identifying and matching technology opportunities based on the customer’s business model and use cases. Become a subject matter expert in the National General Technologies Solutions space have the knowledge necessary to strategically promote, position and help sell our portfolio of complex products and services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in pre-sales activities including technical discovery and value proposition by meeting with customers and prospects to understand their business model and uses cases
  • Outline and provide solutions and technical approaches for the customer using Quotit and/or AgentCubed API
  • Outline use case scenario(s) and proposed solution(s) for client SOWs
  • Work with sales to overcome any solution-specific objections from customers and showcase our solutions in a competitively beneficial light
  • Provide sales solution oversight during implementation phase of projects
  • Collaborate with Product team on Conditions of Acceptance (COA) for business requirements outlined for the client’s solution, ensuring that specifications and requirements are clearly articulated to the development team
  • Serve, post-sale, as a primary resource for interpreting and guiding customer’s solution during implementation
  • Establish and maintain a deep understanding of the overall National General Technology Solutions technology portfolio of products and the competitive landscape
  • Collaborate cross functionally with product management, carrier operations and IT application development to vet and position necessary system enhances that may facilitate current or future sales
  • Serve as a  post-sales, technical resource of National General Technology Solutions product lines to Enterprise Account Managers on the Client Services team  
  • Help foster an environment for ongoing strategic customer success by partnering with Account Management to identify new revenue opportunities
  • Work well in a highly dynamic/team environment that focuses on providing exceptional customer service
  • Create and deliver technical product presentations and/or training sessions to partners and customers
  • Maintain a sample set of pseudo-code for customer use
  • Perform other tasks related to the department, such as special projects or research
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time during the peak season 

Minimum Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelor Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience
  • 7+ years of experience working with SaaS and CRM solutions
  • 5+ years of health insurance and/or related industry/regulatory experience
  • 5+ years of experience in solution selling, software product specialist, business systems analyst and/or other related role
  • Highly technical in nature possessing the appropriate level of technical/functional expertise and knowledge
  • Flexible, dependable, self-starter capable of quickly learning new products and technologies
  • Strong analytical skills and business judgment, with the ability to discern ‘must have’ market requirements from ‘nice to have’ requirements
  • High degree of initiative, sound independent judgment and problem solving skills
  • Results-oriented team player with “can-do” attitude, hands-on approach and ability to interface effectively with all types of resources and accounts
  • Effective problem solving and management of competing priority tasks/projects to attain positive results
  • Attention to detail and organization; strong time management skills and multitasking abilities
  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and consultative skills needed to effectively manage both internal and external clients
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and provide support to ensure optimal results
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with technical resources across all NatGen organizations
  • Must have strong presentation skills
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be extremely self-motivated with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge and understanding of solution selling and technical sales process
  • Knowledge of the Quotit and AgentCubed CRM platforms  
  • Knowledge and experience using API services
