Primary Purpose:

Responsible for improving the efficiency of the sales staff and supporting any business needs that arise.  They will spend a majority of their time observing and analyzing agent behaviors, system workflows and processes to improve the Direct Sales environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify system issues and potential enhancements
  • Analyze agent behavior and isolate process improvements
  • Develop test strategy, test plans, and test cases for simultaneous, and potentially complex, projects
  • Act as liaison between Marketing, Pricing, and third party Vendors (e.g. Comp Raters, Agency Management Systems, etc.) to ensure flawless implementation of revisions, changes and enhancements 
  • Serves as a business consultant for project reviews, revisions, changes, enhancements, and usability testing of rating
  • Work closely with Business Partners to ensure requirements for projects are clear, measurable, & testable while attempting to develop/maintain common processes at an Enterprise level wherever possible 
  • Act as liaison between Marketing, Pricing, and third party Vendors (e.g. Comp Raters, Agency Management Systems, etc.) to ensure flawless implementation of revisions, changes and enhancements
  • Provide expert business knowledge and technical support for maintaining and enhancing comparative rating software
  • Perform competitor benchmarking and usability reviews to prepare and coordinate business requirements and specifications, then submit the request(s) for programming changes
  • Develop test strategy, test plans, and test cases for simultaneous, and potentially complex, projects. 
  • Responsible for verifying accuracy of new states, projects, updates, rate revisions, logic modifications.  Includes identifying and tracking errors and inconsistencies in the functionality
  • Develop ongoing relationships with third party Vendors & regular users of third party Vendor software to help better our position in the marketplace as well as to get ahead of competitor changes
  • Keep Business Partners abreast of new offerings, changes, and opportunities afforded by vendors & competitors within the vendor software

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Effective research skills
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within and outside the organization
  • Ability to work well in a team or as an individual
  • High degree of initiative, mature judgment, and discretion
  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines


Desired Skills:

  • 1-2 Years’ experience in Agency Management Administration
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
  • Proficiency in Visio
  • Experience working in property & casualty insurance
  • Demonstrated experience in software testing required, preferably specific to agency management systems
  • Comprehensive understanding of the various rating platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and apply business specification plans in the testing of rating software
