Primary Purpose:

Serve on the Social Media team in order to help continue to build on Direct Auto’s social media presence. Assist in the development and management of social campaigns from conception to completion across all social platforms. Manage and keep on track a wide variety of simultaneous creative, digital and strategic communications projects.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Social Media Manager in developing social and interactive campaigns, building plans, and defining KPI’s to measure success
  • Execute paid social media campaigns for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Pinterest and any other emerging social platforms
  • Coordinate all campaigns from goal definition, strategy and content creation (in-house or third party)
  • Ensure all campaign goals are clear, deadlines are kept on track and assets are delivered according to expectations
  • Look at campaign performance data and draw conclusions or make recommendations for optimization based on pre-determined success metrics
  • Maintain a strong understanding of consumer consumption of content including video, static imagery, blogs, and other content types
  • Stay abreast of trends in social platforms, tools, applications, channels, in order to design strategies and find new ways to reach our targeted audiences or find new ones
  • Monitor, listen and respond to users in a “Social” way while cultivating leads and sales
  • Work cross functionally with other departments as a thought leader and representative of the social media team
  • Maintain familiarity with paid media and how it applies to social media and other digital channels

 

Minimum Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelor Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Social Media – either in-house or at an agency level
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of current and emerging Social Media platforms, their respective participants, and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
  • Strong marketing analytical skills and a data-driven thinker
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient computer skills including: content management knowledge- up to date with industry leading software and technologies (Adobe Creative Suite Software including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Dreamweaver)
  • Familiarity and experience with utilizing various project management methodologies and tools
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Must perform well in high-energy, dynamic and team-oriented environments
  • Ability to adapt to new situations and learn quickly 

 

Desired Skills:

  • Previous experience with professional Social Media platforms (i e  Radian6, Spredfast, Sprinklr, Ad Managers)
  • Facebook Blueprint Certified (or willingness to become certified within 1st year)
  • Previous experience managing third party vendors
  • Experience coordinating with multiple departments to develop integrated marketing campaigns
