Primary Purpose:

Assist in analyzing requirements and requests of the Treasury area. Responsible for supporting the implementation of projects through in-depth research, data analysis and recommendation of potential solutions.  May lead projects or process design efforts and may direct the workflow of other team members. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate understanding of business unit and/or industry systems, processes and requirements across the Treasury Department
  • Gather and analyze business and stakeholder requirements which includes manage cash flow forecast for several companies, as well as, prepare daily cash positions report, conduct account analysis, and identify trends, risk, and discrepancies
  • Collect and analyze process data to initiate, develop and recommend business practices and procedures including initiate funds transfers and reconciliations of various EFT files submitted to the banks
  • Ensure successful completion of projects
  • Initiate and support business optimization efforts to enable effective and efficient delivery of valued services including but not limited to managing the monthly closing processes of preparing and posting journal entries and assisting Accounting with related questions
  • Work with Internal and External auditors to maintain schedules and provide support as necessary
  • Recommend solutions that will positively impact the business unit cost structure, profitability, and operational efficiencies
  • Prepare and maintain bank fees spreadsheet and various monthly report to identify trends and discrepancies
  • Utilize appropriate tools and technology to develop, enable, and support virtual partnerships and training to ensure cross training across the Treasure Department is sufficient
  • Provide detailed documentation and interpretation of research findings in support of consulting initiatives using standard procedures
  • Perform opening and closing of accounts including maintaining signature authority
  • Identify, clarify and resolve moderately complex or ambiguous problems related to requirements and solutions for business projects within own work area, using company and/or Industry standards and processes
  • Anticipate operational/program issues of moderate complexity related to systems and/or procedures,  develop preventative measures, and present recommendations
  • May train peers and colleagues

Minimum Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience
  • 4+ years of experience in treasury with a preference for a corporate environment
  • Has training or light experience facilitating meetings and processes
  • Understands the basic role of an internal consultant, both in terms of client relationships as well as staff interaction
  • Demonstrates the ability to anticipate, identify, reproduce, and resolve simple problems in area of specialty, including business, process and technical problems
  • Effectively communicates technical and business ideas and information to others, including non-technical audiences
  • Makes effective and accurate recommendations and decisions in a fast-changing environment
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 4+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting
  • Experience creating financial reports
  • Experience posting and creating daily journal entries for a variety of accounts
  • Extensive experience with reconciliation software and advanced Excel abilities
