Primary Purpose:

Focus on launching and growing the Transparent.ly Medicare and Health verticals. Manage sales team members and operations to drive performance while managing the business to performance targets. Transparent.ly is a real-time clicks bidding platform that allows advertisers to precisely bid for consumers with our ad technology. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Grow the revenue and profitability of the health & Medicare verticals
  • Develop strong advertiser relationships and lead quarterly business reviews
  • Expand partnerships with websites generating traffic in health and Medicare
  • Identify, define and size opportunities to grow the business
  • Project manage major initiatives to completion while managing cross-functional teams
  • Exercise leadership in driving growth, focusing the team and getting important projects done on time
  • Collaborate effectively throughout the organization, from sales to engineering and from junior team members to senior leaders of the company
  • Develop and deliver reporting on performance to keep work and team focused on revenue driving priorities and keep executive team updated on progress

  • Bachelor Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience
  • 2+ years of previous experience in a General Manager role
  • 3+ years of previous relevant professional experience
  • Successful experience managing others and in managing projects
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • A strategic thinker who also loves quantitative problem solving
  • Natural ability to cut to the chase and get to the heart of a matter
  • Ability to lead a team towards successful outcomes
  • Clear thinker who can communicate complex concepts in terms everyday people can understand
  • Very detail oriented when the details matter
  • Organized—can breakdown a project into tasks and can manage self and team to get it done
  • Ability to think fast, evaluate quickly, make decisions and take action promptly
  • Independent problem-solver who can figure out which data will inform a problem, analyze the data, draw a conclusion and develop a solution
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent in business or quantitative major (e.g., math, economics, engineering, etc.)
  • MBA
  • High GPA in quantitative courses
  • 2+ years of experience in the Medicare and Health fields
  • 2+ years of successful online marketing experience
  • Knowledge of Medicare/healthcare/health insurance
  • Successful experience managing teams, preferably cross-functionally
  • Superior problem solving and analytical skills
  • Sufficient knowledge of web technologies to scope, manage, and work effectively with developers
  • Excellent communication, people, and project management skills
