Primary Purpose:

Serve as the primary point of contact for Health Plans. Communicate with Health Plans on a regular basis developing a trusting/productive relationship with clients. Initiate development of action plans, implementation, address processes, sales service, and technical concerns.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Schedule meetings with Health Plans to review activity and account status
  • Develop Health Plans meeting agendas including performance reports from each area
  • Provide functional managers with updates on client issues and feedback from carrier interactions
  • Initiate and develop action plans for on-boarding new carriers and implementation of new plans
  • Work collaboratively with Health Plans to support and build sales and marketing opportunities
  • Perform management of assigned accounts
  • Work collaboratively to make informed decisions with data resources
  • Work directly with carriers and multiple internal teams to provide reporting on data status of new and ongoing projects
  • Develop, establish and maintain positive working relationships with multiple internal teams and others while working to meet or exceed delivery goals
  • Identify internal and external service needs and report urgent issues to management
  • Maintain effective communication and coordination within internal team and clients

  • Bachelor Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience
  • 1+ years of Account Management and/or Project Management experience
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively work in a fast-paced environment; must meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated, requiring little or no supervision; flexible, team player, able to motivate others
  • Ability to develop corrective strategies and assist in presenting
  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with clients and functional management
  • Professional in attitude and appearance
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong track record of execution in project management and day to day operations
  • Ability to maintain positive relationship with external party while protecting company's interests
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Must possess ability to work with team to assess situations quickly and make logical and appropriate decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization

  • Previous account management, project management and health care benefits experience
