Job Title/Position: Data Loss Prevention Analyst / DLP Analyst III

Location: 100% Remote (anywhere in the US)

Primary Purpose:

The Data Loss Prevention compliance analyst will be the primary Point of Contact of a critical system and process that will ensure key data is monitored and protected following regulatory and legal compliance standards such as PCI, HIPAA, ISO27001 and NIST Cybersecurity Frameworks. The Compliance Analyst will work with the other members of the team to enhance business practices, internal controls and performs other review related activities to support the execution of the department's annual assessment plan.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the data movement and ensure the security protocols are well designed and in function as per requirement.
  • Work with Security Architects, Security Analysts, Security Administrators and other IT and business departments to design effective and efficient procedures and controls to meet IT compliance requirements
  • Monitor the use of the tools and ensure a consistent process of improvement is in place.
  • Understand Healthcare sector requirements and rules for implementing a DLP solution. Adhere to local policies and laws to ensure data movement is appropriate.
  • Reviewing BAU processes to ensure they are fit for purpose
  • Recommend remediation activity for compliance activities found deficient and monitors remediation progress
  • Provide technical auditing duties as liaison between the IT department and internal and external auditing teams
  • Review audit trails and access control violations, reporting such violations to Security Analysts and management when necessary
  • Monitor changes in the IT regulatory and security landscape and reports on the impact of those changes to IT security and operational processes and procedures
  • Collect and document business requirements for process identification/improvement/automation efforts
  • Contribute to the development of process improvements
  • Apply knowledge of key regulations to influence assessment scope
  • Formulate appropriate conclusions regarding the adequacy of internal controls and procedures based on the assessment work performed and knowledge of company operation, drafts well written, clear and concise finding reports and participates in presenting the findings to the Enterprise Risk & Compliance management

Minimum Skills and Competencies:

  • 8+ years substantive experience with End Point protection tools within a licensed financial institution or a regulatory compliance examiner with a federal or state financial services regulator
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems or related or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA, PCI, SOX, ISO27000 and NIST Cybersecurity Frameworks
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Demonstrated detailed oriented self-starter and the ability to work independently with limited supervision and limited direction, and in collaborative team environments
  • A strong ability to multi-task and manage varying priorities and projects
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to communicate security risk and compliance related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff
  • The ability to provide support after normal business hours as needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
