Job Description

Primary Purpose:

The Director of Paid Media will lead the media buying efforts to’s owned and operated sites. is a real-time clicks bidding platform that allows advertisers to precisely bid for consumers with our ad technology platform.  Our platform allows our website partners to monetize their consumer traffic in insurance, mortgage and higher education by showing highly relevant ads to consumers.  We have launched our own websites in the auto, home and life insurance verticals that utilize our platform’s ads and drive traffic to these sites with Google paid search traffic.

We are looking for an experienced digital media buyer to expand our paid search marketing to our current sites, launch sites in additional sites and verticals, and to add in additional media sources such as Facebook and Social. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Expand and optimize our current Google paid search campaigns.
  • Create and scale paid search campaigns in Bing. 
  • Launch sites and build search campaigns in other verticals, including coming up with the site design, conversion path and copy. 
  • Scale new paid media types such as Facebook, Native and Social. 
  • Grow and manage a paid media team.


Minimum Skills and Competencies:

  • Successful track record of managing multiple millions in paid media spend per month.
  • Experienced in launching new sites and profitably building up traffic to several hundreds of thousands in spend per month.
  • Have managed of team of paid media analysts and managers.
  • Experienced in managing paid media in two or more of the following verticals:  auto insurance, home insurance, life insurance, health insurance, Medicare or mortgage.
  • Successful experience in developing and launching sites, having an eye for the subtle changes that impact conversion performance.
  • Well versed in summarizing and communicating out performance with senior management.
  • Several years of experience in the lead generation industry managing a team.
  • Have run paid media campaigns with the following media types: Google, Yahoo, Facebook, Display and Native.
  • Google AdWords certified.
  • Bing Ads certified.
  • BA or BS degree


Desired Skills:

  • BS in quantitative major preferred. 
  • Experience in the insurance industry highly preferred.
  • Have experience building up a paid media team and rapidly and profitably growing revenues to several million a month in spend on non-tradename terms.
