Primary Purpose:

To manage and profitably grow flood premium and market share with national accounts and alternative distribution channels. Identify and develop new national sales partnerships. Work leads from non-flood sales managers to support overall growth of flood premium a market defined states with no dedicated flood rep.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage growth and profitability of our flood products in a defined territory
  • Effectively manage existing National Accounts to achieve desired business results
  • Identify new National Accounts and negotiate customized contracts and proposals as appropriate to achieve desired business results
  • Review sales reports and closely monitor sales results
  • Provide frequent reporting on key sales metrics and initiatives
  • Partner with our non-flood sales team members target large flood opportunities and implement education strategies and tactics to maximize business results
  • Work with cross-functional business partners to capitalize on large flood opportunities
  • Target alternative distribution channels (i.e. homeowners’ carriers) with no flood to offer Beyond Floods access via API
  • Work with the sales leadership team to communicate results, discoveries, opportunities and outcomes
  • Execute national agency account sales plan to meet annual premium targets

Minimum Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience
  • 5+ years of property and casualty insurance experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a field/territory sales function within the insurance space
  • In‑depth federal and private flood knowledge
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish working relationships with internal and external clients at varying levels within the organization
  • Strong general management, analytical, planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze various reports (i.e. identify trends and develop a plan for improvement)
  • Excellent and current knowledge of the Independent Agency channel, including industry competitors, major brokers and national industry associations
  • Ability to use computer and software applications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel as frequently as needed

Desired Skills:

  • Prior experience in a National account’s role
  • Master’s Degree in a related field of study
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in digital marketing
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, data querying and data analysis
