Primary Purpose:

Support insurance servicing team leadership by assisting with management of department operations, advising and mentoring peers, conducting quality checks and processing insurance-related documentation across multiple workflows to assist with achievement of service level expectations

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement effective processing of multiple insurance-related documentation queues by analyzing complex data, resolving exceptions and updating clients’ systems of records to ensure accuracy and completeness of database information
  • Ensure success of insurance operations team by resolving basic escalated issues and guiding peers on best practices to increase effectiveness and efficiency of processing functions
  • Foster adherence to service level agreements by encouraging team and completing high volume of data entry and processing multiple insurance-related documentation queues quickly and accurately to meet department quality and productivity standards
  • Support delivery of accurate and efficient processing services by tracking productivity of team members, conducting regular quality checks and delivering regular reports to inform insurance servicing team leadership and provide feedback on team performance
  • Assist with department initiatives by participating in assigned projects and assuming supervisory duties as required to support delivery of effective services and ensure team alignment with business goals
  • Provide subject matter expertise by utilizing comprehensive knowledge of processes, queues and client-specific procedures to support multiple workflows and resolve complex, escalated processing issues

Minimum Skills and Competencies:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 4 years relevant experience
  • Experience in a high-volume processing environment; increasing levels of responsibility
  • Applied knowledge of procedures and best practices for documentation processing and data entry
  • Basic knowledge of leadership principles and best practices
  • Applied knowledge of principles and processes for providing timely and effective customer service
  • Terminology, function and fundamental capabilities of common computer, software, information and communication technology devices, components, and concepts
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Motivate, develop and mentor people as they work; share knowledge with others and provide effective performance feedback
  • Quickly and accurately perform data entry to keep logs, records and files up-to-date and readily accessible
  • Evaluate basic problems to identify possible solutions and escalate issues when necessary
  • Follow established guidelines to focus on details and complete tasks attentively and thoroughly; utilize established procedures to guide decision-making
  • Conduct tests and inspections of services and processes to evaluate quality and performance of peers
  • Ability to adapt to new situations and learn quickly 
  • Adhere to assigned schedule and demonstrate punctuality and consistent attendance
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Promote collaboration, knowledge-sharing and teamwork; understand team dynamics and utilize the individual strengths of each member to achieve results
