Job Description


The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage Leave of Absence claims from receipt of claim to return-to-work, ensuring all processes and federal and state regulations are followed.  Candidates must have extensive knowledge of FMLA, comparable state regulations and case management experience and must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

Specific Duties:

  • Administer all leave types – FMLA, STD, LTD, Military, and all state mandated leave types.
  • Advise employees and managers regarding leave and PTO policies and procedures.
  • Track LOA and input pay information in HRIS.
  • Track and collect employee portion of benefits costs.
  • Partner with HR Team regarding employment decisions when approved leave time is exhausted or according to policy.
  • Partner with ADA administrator on requests for reasonable accommodation.
  • Liaison with third-party administrator.
  • Maintain close contact with employee and keep manager informed about expected duration, extensions, etc.
  • Partner and coordinate with Workers' Comp coordinator.
  • Manage Open Enrollment communications for those on leave.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma – College Degree a plus
  • 2-3 years Leave of Absence/Claims administration
  • Extensive knowledge of FMLA and state leave laws.
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills.
