Job Description

Primary Purpose:

Responsible for management of marketing programs for the enterprise.  Develops digital marketing, lead-acquisition, and lead-generation strategic plans.  Manages the relationship between multiple product verticals and our internal and external lead generation vendors.   Responsible for managing the cost, conversion and return on investment of lead generation programs.   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the relationship between the “business” and our internal and external lead generation platforms
  • Develop business cases and project plans necessary in executing initiatives, projects, campaigns or programs
  • Develop and deploy digital marketing programs targeted to: attract and enroll consumers, recruit and appoint brokers and independent agents
  • Oversee Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) and lead targets ensuring that distribution teams have sufficient leads to hit sales objectives while balancing lead cost and conversion metrics to reduce overall CPA
  • Work with distribution teams to ensure proper response times and conversion on leads by adjusting lead distribution rules and call campaign priorities
  • Oversee all customer-facing digital platforms including for both sales and service including requirements gathering, user-acceptance testing, reporting and performance
  • Manage content calendar including key words, article titles, article lengths, and release dates
  • Build solid partner relationships through negotiations and balancing the partners’ desires and needs with those of National General Insurance Company (NGIC)
  • Collect and analyze pertinent data as it relates to each initiative and project as well as data that supports annual objectives for area of responsibility
  • Develop criteria for targeted New Business efforts and corresponding Cost per Application as well as premium targets and may involve modifying plans accordingly throughout the year
  • Work closely with Senior Management team to ensure that Best Practices are being utilized across NGIC
  • Develop and deploy business analytics, dashboards and reports to reflect cost and conversion metrics to senior management, channel sales leaders, marketing partners, carrier partners and all other appropriate contacts
  • Develop and manage interdepartmental, cross-functional and/or account specific teams
  • Manage internal teams across multiple NGIC lines of business to ensure the goods and services are within performing as expected within approved budget constraints in order to achieve new business goals

Minimum Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience
  • 8+ years of related experience
  • 3+ years of previous leadership experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong working knowledge of Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) best practices, to include A/B and multivariate testing of campaign structure and internal operational flows
  • Strong knowledge of CRM best practice and ability to work with sales and operations teams to ensure a frictionless consumer experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to get things done in a complex, rapidly changing environment
  • Strong track record of execution in project management and day to day operations
  • Ability to lead and take direction from multiple people and successfully prioritize competing priorities
  • Ability to effectively develop, coordinate and manage cross functional initiatives and teams
  • Ability to maintain positive relationship with external party while protecting company’s interests

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in marketing computer science or management
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Previous management of external marketing partners
  • Thorough understanding of the NGIC and associated brands and ability to exhibit behaviors associated with it
