Job Description

Primary Purpose:

Provides day-to-day marketing support for the enterprise — from providing creative support for campaigns, to coordinating campaign deployment. Individual is primarily responsible for implementing marketing campaigns and acting as a primary liaison with other functional areas to ensure marketing campaigns are executed on time and as effectively as possible. Due to the time sensitive nature of this role, occasional off-hour support is required.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with business groups to coordinate deployment of communications – defining audiences, outlining timelines, understanding brands, etc..
  • Integrate content into defined email and web templates for distribution, ensuring business requirements as well as guidelines, standards and legal requirements are met.
  • Generate distribution lists for communications
  • Deploy emails, post communications to policy management system, post communications to employee-facing intranet and provide art files to vendors, per defined schedule.
  • Maintain communication history for tracking and reporting.
  • Maintain marketing collateral library and Marketing Hub (internal ordering system) along with providing monthly order reporting.
  • Provide monthly reporting/tracking details regarding agent communications in addition to reporting for ad hoc requests
  • Ensure communications are consistent with company’s vision, mission, goals, values and external messages to customers and ensure consistent messaging is maintained across all channels.
  • Ensure communications are clear and concise and follow AP Style guidelines and brand guidelines. Proofread all communications to ensure everything is grammatically correct and all details (contact information, etc.) are correct
  • Devise concepts for marketing and brand campaigns as needed for internal and external brand marketing initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to continually improve marketing and communication efforts, processes, output, etc.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience
  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization
  • Ability to understand new applications, programs, and initiatives quickly and to then effectively integrate those new programs and applications into daily routine
  • Ability to adapt to new situations and learn quickly 
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Strong sense of urgency throughout all projects

Desired Skills:

  • Ability to use web applications for crafting, deploying and analyzing email communication campaigns, specifically Constant Contact
  • Ability to analyze data to determine effectiveness of marketing/communication campaigns in a valuable way
  • 10+ years of experience in the insurance industry
  • Agent’s license in good standing
  • Strong knowledge of AP Style and the English language
