Job Description

Primary Purpose:

Assist compliance management with overseeing Medicare sales compliance at company-owned agency call centers and program managers. Work as the primary point of contact between internal departments (e.g. sales managers, quality assurance, licensing, and training) and external carriers and/or other affiliates for day-to-day compliance-related tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for all agency-related Medicare compliance issues and obligations
  • Manage all Medicare-related complaints and notices of investigation from carrier partners and oversee that the responses are completed and submitted in a timely manner
  • Oversee founded allegation and corrective action follow-ups
  • Fulfill audit and reporting obligations such as gathering, reviewing, and scoring carrier-requested call recordings, answering annual assessments, and responding to government requests
  • Assist in investigations regarding potential and/or reported agent misconduct
  • Prepare and submit the OIG/GSA exclusion list check on a monthly basis
  • Conduct research and analysis on legal issues to determine business impact
  • Help to develop, administer, and track completion of required Medicare trainings
  • Compliance support for Medicare, under 65 and group sales

Minimum Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or in-lieu of degree, equivalent education, training, and/or work-related experience)
  • Insurance or healthcare background
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish successful working relationships with individuals at varying management levels, both within the organization and externally
  • Must be readily willing to take on responsibility/new tasks
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Desired Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in a Legal or Compliance related role
  • Medicare background
  • Knowledge of the CMS Medicare Marketing Guidelines
  • Legal or regulatory background
  • Quality assurance background
