Position Title:  OpenText Enterprise Content Administration Lead


Primary Purpose:

The OpenText Enterprise Content Administration Lead will work as a part of a team who are responsible for administering, supporting, document conversions and migrations and monitoring of the content management system. This includes day-to-day administration, performance tuning, and maintenance supporting all systems required for the content management environment to be functional. The OpenText Enterprise Content Administration Lead will also be responsible for reviewing maintenance plans, ensuring backups are being successfully performed, respond to failures, write and test disaster recovery plans, and assist in design of application interfaces to the document repository.  An Administration Lead would also be expected to provide input and recommendations on design and architecture improvements, and assure that the existing ECM platform is meeting the business needs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure system availability, recovery
  • Provide daily management of content management system infrastructure and assure service availability
  • Maintain all environments including Development, QA, and Production environments
  • Work with business users, developers, and infrastructure teams to ensure quality products
  • Provide training for development teams looking to interface with the content management repository
  • Recommend improvements and upgrades to the ECM platform and design as needed to ensure it continues to meet the business need
  • Responsible for documenting all maintenance procedures
  • Maintain policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Keep the content management software up to date with necessary patches
  • Perform release management activities
  • Perform server migration/upgrade activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Minimum Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelor Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience
  • 8+ years content management experience
  • Thorough understanding of content management systems
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving integrity and performance issues
  • Experience with performance tuning a content management environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)


Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in OpenText Content Server, Archive Server, OCC, OTDS, and Brava
  • Experience administrating IIS, Tomcat, Apache, or other web hosting platforms
  • Expert experience in implementing operational automation
  • Experience in networking, server configurations, and virtualization
