Primary Purpose:

This role is responsible for the overall coordination, the functional management and leadership of all regional based retail operations & sales and marketing activities for the company.  This leadership role will be a key member of the senior sales management team and will be expected to fully contribute to the organization’s meeting and exceeding of its annual plan priorities and objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading the development of the region based annual sales plan and providing quarterly updates, revisions and modifications in alignment with sales results, organizational strategic direction and marketplace dynamics and trends
  • Responsible for developing and monitoring key performance metrics and the development of communication strategies which reports the region’s progress against plan goals and objectives
  • Developing and implementing region specific sales and marketing programs and strategies to drive new business and retention
  • Coordinate and execute on brand building and delivering on the brand promise
  • Responsible for developing and implementing region based sales, customer and field marketing strategies to drive sales and in alignment with the overall financial and business plan of the organization
  • Responsible for ensuring region based sales management  and staff are trained and manages responsibilities/assignments of staff, conducts interviews and makes hiring decisions, manages employee performance reviews, provides guidance to staff or resolves conflicts and communication problems, proactively promotes and supports sales employee development initiatives and cross functional collaboration and teamwork
  • Responsible for partnering with human resources and finance on the development, implementation and communication of all sales total reward programs, field training and employee recognition programs
  • Responsible for working with and providing input to the corporate pricing team on the development of the region’s product and services pricing strategy initiatives
  • Responsible for remaining current on market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies and implementation of sales and customer programs that ensure the organization remains competitive and meets and exceeds its sales and financial objectives
  • Responsible for maintaining an ethical and compliance environment in accordance with company policies and procedures and industry regulations and standard

Minimum Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelor Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience 
  • 10-15 years leading in a high growth or transformational environment. 
  • 5-10 years in a national or regional management position with strong commercial to consumer retail sales experience
  • Demonstrated experience in the understanding of a complex sales process required to successfully sell or position products in a regulated industry
  • Demonstrated experience in acquiring and onboarding “best in class” sales and sales manager professionals
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully leading and motivating sales and sales support teams and developing sales programs and initiatives
  • Must exhibit high initiative and possess demonstrated leadership and communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience in key sales metrics implementation, monitoring and reporting
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing reports and developing sales solutions and programs that are grounded in the data and marketplace trends
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization
  • Able to provide a leading role both internally and externally
  • Understanding of the bottom line impact of decisions or strategies 
  • Possess strong service orientation and bias for action
  • Demonstrated ability in effectively articulating a short term plan and a longer term vision and communicate it in a compelling and actionable manner throughout the organization. 
  • Ability to develop and engage teams for the attainment of functional goals and organizational objectives
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
