Job Description

Primary Purpose:

Creates strategy and implements supporting processes to effectively lead the SIU Major Case Unit.  Please note this position can be located in any NGIC claims office.  Qualified candidates from all locations will be considered, and working remote is also possible.  Claims office locations: Cleveland, OH; Tampa, FL; Dallas, TX; Ontario, CA; Nashville, TN; Buffalo, NY; Winston-Salem, NC.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Coordinate resources to properly investigate external risks associated with organized fraud
  • Maintain SIU standards, reporting procedures, statutory compliance, and the efficient operation of the assigned team
  • Supervise, develop, evaluate performance and recommend salary changes for assigned personnel
  • Coordinate the identification and development of major case investigations with key stakeholders
  • Monitor and control expenses according to the SIU Budget

  • Bachelor Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience
  • 5+ years of experience in SIU
  • 3+ years leadership experience
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Must perform well in high-energy, dynamic and team-oriented environments
  • High degree of initiative, mature judgment, and discretion
  • Works independently with little supervision

     

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Leadership or some related field
  • 3+ years of SIU Major Case experience
  • 2+ years of experience as a SIU Major Case Manager
  • Insurance industry recognized accreditations such as FCLS, CFE, CPCU, etc.
