Job Description

Primary Purpose:

Conduct the user acceptance testing (UAT) and post production validation (PPV) of development projects to maintain accuracy and functionality of system’s and processes.  UAT Test Specialists will execute and perform UAT and PPV testing and validation to determine pass/fail results for test step in test cases in assigned business projects.  Develop acceptance test and post production validation cases for functional changes and regression scenarios with pass/fail criteria.  Maintain a strong subject matter expertise in a variety of business processes.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Executing thorough UAT testing by analyzing project requirement documents
  • Writing comprehensive test cases from requirement documents
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of test case library by reviewing existing cases, making changes and updates as required, and contributing to the creation of a framework for future testing that increases efficiency and avoids duplication of work
  • Identifying defects within the software and provide detailed explanation and examples
  • Work with IT to resolve and retest defects
  • Attend business requirements review sessions
  • Attend test planning and test status meetings
  • Facilitates UAT test case review meetings
  • Executing manual UAT within a test environment
  • Conduct regression testing
  • Create, execute and update test cases, test results and defects in HP Quality Center
  • Facilitates UAT with the customer and obtains stakeholder approvals

  • Associates Degree or equivalent education, training and work-related experience
  • 0-3+ years relevant experience within National General Lender Services systems and processes
  • Knowledge of insurance processing, policies, practices, trends, technology and information affecting the business and organization
  • Terminology, function and fundamental capabilities of common computer, software, information and communication technology devices, components, and concepts
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, SharePoint Sites
  • Working knowledge of internal processing applications
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Follow instructions and established guidelines to focus on details and complete tasks attentively and thoroughly
  • Adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Seek advice and escalate issues when necessary
  • Adhere to assigned schedule and demonstrate punctuality and consistent attendance
