Primary Purpose:

Serve on the Consumer Insights – Marketing team and assist in building customer empathy and advocating for the voice of the customer by regularly performing user research studies for various needs across the organization. Main focus will be on the following: web usability, prototyping, design validations, competitive research, shopping cart optimization, needs discovery, and more. In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence marketing and product strategies with a customer-first approach.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Translate cross-functional team research requests into actionable user research test plans
  • Collaborate in the design of various research studies that span the project lifecycle
  • Monitor, review, and analyze test responses and videos to capture correct metrics and clips to answer test objectives
  • Translate research insights into actionable recommendations and directions for various project stakeholders including Marketing, Product, and IT
  • Deliver data and insights from research studies into presentations and readouts
  • Tell compelling stories using data to include suggestions and recommendations based on thorough analysis of user research feedback
  • Stay abreast of user research trends, platform features and new releases

  • Bachelor Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience
  • 1+ years of experience in market research or various qualitative and quantitative research projects
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking – able to objectively interpret research, extract insights, and communicate in a motivating way
  • Highly self-motivated, solutions-oriented, and proactive problem-solving
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment and can handle ambiguity and changing business priorities
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills
  • Ability to listen for pain points and needs without immediately solutioning
  • Desire to be creative and innovative in a fast-paced, growing organization
  • Ability to approach conflicts as opportunities
  • Passionate advocate: continuously promote customer empathy and customer-first strategies to stakeholders with gained knowledge from user research studies
  • Working knowledge of marketing and market research fundamentals, experimental design, and statistics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Sociology, Psychology or Research
  • Data visualization skills
