Job Description

The RMBC Underwriting Specialist evaluates, makes Individual Risk Management decisions across multiple lines of insurance based on a thorough understanding of pricing rate plans and overall risk management policy. This employee answers customer inquiries on the status of policies, billing issues and concerns, risk eligibility, underwriting policies and procedures and rate plans.



Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a thorough understanding of the governing Rules and Rates for all personal insurance lines in supported regions

• Look for opportunities to identify and prevent fraud (internal and external)

• Analyze and develop the product, price, and risk management opportunities based on local market knowledge and business needs

• Accurately evaluate, make decisions and process policies based on Individual Risk Management Policy and associated rate plans

• Answer complex inquiries providing customer service and accurate risk decisioning using their expertise on Billing, Policy, Rate Plans, and Risk Management

• Assist with identifying, coordinating and communicating training needs within the team or other units

• Assist Leadership in achieving team service level agreements

• Analyze customer policy information to ensure complete information and communicate to the appropriate sources

• Answer all calls promptly and represent the Allstate brand professionally, valuing each caller as an individual with different needs

• Compare process to standards, offer analysis, and partner with others to make improvements

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $21.15 - 31.43 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
