Job Description

Primary Purpose:

Responsible for running and modifying management reports to be provided to various internal and external clients. Report on data calls.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Responsible for maintaining the Corporate Reporting databases using SAS
  • Perform SAS programming required for reporting  of monthly, quarterly and annual data to various departments in the company (Bordereau Reporting) and also to external client companies
  • Report on Data calls to AIPSO, ISO and various regulatory agencies
  • Upon inquiry, evaluate reports along with supervisor to generate correction and response
  • Accurately and efficiently work towards quality results
  • Act as a representative of the Data Management department on project teams
  • Attend project team meetings as necessary
  • Perform testing during special projects
  • Perform error corrections, research missing or invalid information and follow up with users to make appropriate fix to the data

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
  • Knowledge of MS SQL and SSMS.
  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish a working relationship with individuals at varying levels within and outside the organization
  • Demonstrates a general understanding of the insurance industry and organizational relationships of the Company. Also, demonstrates an understanding of the functions of other departments, such as Claims and Underwriting
  • Ability to adapt to new situations and learn quickly
  • Demonstrates ability to pay attention to detail and produce high quality error free reports
  • Must perform well in team-orientated environments

Desired Skills:

  • Expected Microsoft Excel Skills at Intermediate level or above
  • Programming Knowledge (SAS)
  • College Degree or equivalent education, training or work-related experience
  • 1+ years of Claims and/or Underwriting experience
