Job Description

Primary Purpose:

Responsible for leading financial analysis projects and providing functional advice or training to system users.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting budgets, expenses, and other financial projects
  • Collect and analyze financial information for assigned accounts, products or product lines, or business units in order to track the organization's progress against financial goals
  • Report current or expected financial performance and creates financial models to guide decision making
  • Analyze cash flow, expenditures, revenue, depreciation, and investments to make recommendations for action and/or modifications regarding financial procedures, plans, and controls
  • Provide quality technical support to assigned system users
  • Execute financial forecasting and modeling
  • Serve as subject matter expert for areas of support
  • May assist with training and developing entry level staff
  • Assist with user acceptance testing for all production changes
  • Deliver assigned system training to end users
  • Manage and organize data from thorough analysis

Minimum Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelor Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience
  • 6+ years related experience as a Financial Analyst
  • 4+ years of experience working directly with Oracle EBS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledgeable around the creation and use of financial models
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
  • Ability to use mathematical techniques for forecasting
  • Financial statement analysis proficiency
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to be self-directed and manage several tasks at one time

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor Degree specifically in Accounting, Finance or Information Systems
  • 8+ years related experience as a Financial Analyst
  • Technical support experience with Spreadsheet Server, ReconArt, and/or Blackline reconciliation system
  • Project management/Software implementation experience
