Primary Purpose:
Responsible for working on the Independent Agent Acquisitions team and serving as the primary point of contact (internal and external) during the Due Diligence phase of the process

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Identify, research and contact potential independent agent acquisition targets
  • Obtain confidential financial statements from acquisition targets to be used in valuation modeling
  • Conduct analysis on financial data received to determine if viable candidate for acquisition
  • Create initial valuation model (using existing template) for each acquisition and create iterations based on own analysis as well as input from internal financial stakeholders
  • Interface closely with Product Management, Finance Management, Ops Management and Corporate Management to determine an acquisition’s value to the organization and come to agreement on offer amount
  • Conduct/Assist with due diligence visits to independent agents
  • Manage Due Diligence Checklist to be completed with each acquisition (Gather, compile, organize and communicate information needed by various departments)
  • Lead weekly meetings of internal stakeholders for 4 weeks prior to each acquisition being closed
  • Maintain Acquisition Lead Database/CRM
  • Compile monthly Acquisition Reports
  • Interface with internal departments and external partners to develop and implement strategies, plans and business models
  • Identify alternative solutions for more efficiency

  • Bachelor’s Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience
  • High degree of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality is essential
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization, including upper management and C level executives
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
  • Must be able and willing to travel

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of and experience within the Auto Insurance industry
  • Experience with financial modeling
